  • 25 years in staff, command and training assignments, including two years in combat
  • B.A. from The Citadel, M.A. from the University of North Carolina, and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia

Role

  • Developed and combined a micro pattern with a macro pattern (based on the two types of natural camouflage found in the animal kingdom), forming the basis of GORE® OPTIFADE® Concealment

A Few Words

You create a micro pattern that matches the ‘busyness' of the background and makes it harder to detect the hunter, and you overlay it with a macro pattern that makes it harder to recognize the shape of the hunter, even if detected.”
